The Dave’s neighborhood bar and eatery located on Hejrevej in Copenhagen’s vibrant Nordvest district is an airy all-day social hub that masterfully bridges the gap between a casual morning café and an energetic evening wine bar. Founded by long-time friends Anders Bodenhoff and David Mortensen, the one hundred and sixty square meter establishment was built entirely by hand from the ground up, infusing the space with an intimate sense of meticulous craftsmanship and material care. One of the co-owners is a skilled cabinetmaker who personally crafted a significant portion of the interior inventory, creating smooth timber fixtures and highly tactile wooden details that elevate the industrial shell into an inviting residential retreat. The bright layout is designed to maximize natural light during the day, featuring rows of custom tables that seamlessly give way to a hidden, tranquil backyard courtyard nestled within a residential block. Embracing an interior ethos that blends classic mid-century lines with progressive contemporary shapes, the furniture layout showcases curated iconic seating by Robin Day, fluid organically curved lighting by Verner Panton, and whimsical seating accents by Jaime Hayon for &Tradition.
