Description

PH 5 Pendant in Hues of rose was designed in 1958 by Poul Henningsen (1894-1967), a pioneer in lighting design who devoted most of his life to taming electrical light. The world-famous PH 5 was developed as a response to the constant alterations in form and size that lightbulbs were undergoing. Regardless of how the lamp is installed – and the type and strength of lightbulb used – the PH 5 is completely glare-free.

About the design

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of this timeless icon, Louis Poulsen has launched the PH 5 in the same exciting palette of colours as 2017’s PH 5 Mini – the scaled-down 30-cm-diameter version of the 50 cm original.

Both PH 5 and PH 5 Mini are now available in Classic, a new Modern White and the six nuanced combinations, where the colour is darkest at the top and lightens gradually from shade to shade towards the bottom. The different colour tones on each lamp’s five shades create a dynamic graduated effect that strengthens the pendants visual impact.

With Hues of Blue, Hues of Green, Hues of Grey, Hues of Orange, Hues of Rose and Hues of Red there are plenty of options to fit into any interior design scheme and add a modern and personal touch to your home.
