1972 Pendant Lamp

GUBI’s Tynell 1972 pendant lamp is part of Paavo Tynell’s lighting collection featuring conical lampshades and characterful natural materials, both typical of the designer. This lamp features a handcrafted bamboo slat shade that glows with warm tones, slightly wider than the smaller 1967 models in the series. Positioned below the light source, a fabric diffuser ensures a gentle, glare-free downward illumination, making the pendant ideal for various spaces, from a dining table to a bedroom ceiling or as a general light source in any room. The polished brass detail adds a decorative touch to the design.

Originally designed in the 1950s and produced by the Finnish company Oy Taito Ab, the 1972 lamp is now part of the Paavo Tynell collection under the Danish design brand GUBI.
