Description

The FJ Elements Table Lamp designed by Finn Juhl in 1963 is a masterful study of geometry and balanced proportions that reflects the designer's architectural approach to lighting. Originally conceived as part of a series of lamps for the Danish manufacturer CFC Silkeborg, the design is characterized by its three distinct components: a circular base, a slender stem, and a perfectly hemispherical shade. The lamp creates a focused downlight that is ideal for desks or bedside tables, providing a warm and atmospheric glow without direct glare. Its construction utilizes a powder-coated steel shade and base, which are connected by a chrome-plated or brass stem to create a sophisticated material contrast. The interior of the shade is typically finished in a light color to maximize light reflection and ensure a soft distribution of brightness. This piece embodies the organic modernism that Juhl is famous for, moving away from the rigid industrialism of the era toward a more sculptural and artistic expression. Its presence in the AC Hotel Bella Sky reinforces the hotel's commitment to showcasing the pinnacle of mid-century Danish design. Dimensions for the lamp include a height of 35 centimeters and a shade diameter of 28 centimeters. Each lamp is produced by Onecollection to the original specifications, ensuring that the precision of Juhl's geometric vision is preserved for contemporary interiors
