Originally commissioned to provide mass flexible seating for Copenhagen's iconic waterfront Langelinie Pavilion, this high-profile armchair derives its distinct identity from a remarkably airy, "barely there" profile that flows continuously like a tied rope that has come undone. It is engineered around a sculptural skeleton of slender, bent steel tubes—available in a slick chrome-plated or black powder-coated finish—which forms a low-slung, crescent-shaped backrest and fluidly integrated armrests. This delicate metal frame encapsulates a form-pressed plywood core tightly padded with high-resiliency foam, offering an exceptionally comfortable, supportive, and slightly tilted pocket of luxury seating. Measuring 56 cm wide, 52.5 cm deep, and 77.5 cm high with a standard 46 cm seat height, the 5.6 kg chair is thoughtfully equipped with an injection-molded stacking tray underneath, allowing users to stack up to 8 chairs cleanly on the floor or 10 on a trolley for effortless storage.
