Description

The Inflatable Stool is a unique and innovative piece of furniture designed by Verner Panton in the early 1960s, offering a blend of functionality and avant-garde design.

About the design

"Originally conceptualized but not produced in the 1960s due to technical limitations, this stool was one of the first inflatable furniture pieces ever designed. It embodies Marcel Breuer's vision of sitting ""on an elastic column of air."" In 2018, this stool was brought to life as a special edition by Prada and Verpan, showcased in Prada's fashion shows. The Inflatable Stool is a limited edition piece, available at select Verpan dealers worldwide, including Markanto. It is delivered in a Prada-made case with a necessary air pump. This stool is a testament to Verner Panton's innovative design approach, combining practicality with a unique aesthetic."
