PK61A - Black Marble - Coffee Table - Metal/Stone

Introducing the PK61A coffee table, a stunning piece of design by Poul Kjærholm, crafted in 1956 and still celebrated for its timeless elegance. This striking table features a square tabletop made from luxurious svart marmor (black marble), perfectly complemented by a satin-brushed stainless steel base that exudes sophistication. The undercarriage is ingeniously designed in four parts, secured with machine screws, adding an understated industrial touch to its aesthetic. The PK61A is the larger version of the PK61 coffee table, showcasing Kjærholm's evolution from industrial designer to furniture architect. Its minimalist design philosophy is evident in every detail, where the loose tabletop is ingeniously held in place solely by gravity—a hallmark of Kjærholm's innovative approach, seen also in his PK24 lounge chair. This versatile coffee table harmonizes beautifully with other pieces from Kjærholm's collection, such as the PK22 lounge chair and the PK33 stool, making it an ideal centerpiece for any modern living space
