Pebble Rubble Modular Sofa
Description
Pebble Rubble is a modular sofa designed by Front. Inspired by the beauty of nature, the designers took 3D scans of rocks they had collected from Swedish forests and turned them into designs for modular sofa units. The result is a collection of seating units which resemble boulders or tree trunks, their surfaces weathered smooth by the forces of nature and covered in natural vegetation.
The organic effect is enhanced by the use of Arda, a unique fabric designed by Front for Kvadrat. Arda is a knitted fabric with a tapestry-like expression designed to mimic natural surfaces such as rocks or moss. It is also made using an innovative manufacturing process which reduces water consumption by up to 95%. The result is a sculptural and organic sofa which enables you to create a naturalistic landscape indoors.
