Description

The dining chair, J41, is a classic cane chair, originally designed by the world-famous, Danish furniture architect, Børge Mogensen for FDB and here relaunched by Danish HAY. Master Mogensen insisted on function: that his chairs fit those who needed them, and not the other way around. Quality, simplicity, a clear, clean aesthetic and precise proportions repeat themselves in Børge Mogensen's furniture, which helped shape Danish modernism.

About the design

HAY has recreated Børge Mogensen's classic J41 chair, featuring a slanted backrest made of black lacquered beech. The chair has a light and elegant expression, providing a timeless, classic design. The seat is made of wide plywood, designed for optimal comfort and high quality, ensuring durability for many years. The chair is ideal as an extra chair in the hallway, bedroom, or around the dining table.
