The designer, Thomas Pedersen reflects on the Gate chair series as follows; Reflect is a series of chairs created with versatility and comfort in mind. The lines in the chair's almost paper-thin profile are dictated by the naturally organic shape of the body. Reflect has been designed with a minimum of material to achieve an, in every way, light chair with optimal support. The back of the chair is reinforced with a core of recycled plastic, which gives Reflect its ergonomically correct firmness and its distinctive but simple signature on the back. In the same way as the shell, the series of armrests is designed based on comfort and with the freedom of form of plastic as a medium. The balanced shapes complete the shell and let the Reflect invite you to stay with open arms. The color collection adds an extra dimension to Reflect and with its ten colors starts from a contemporary spectrum that contains colors that can both help to create and accommodate an existing interior design. The humble design and silky surface of the shell therefore create the framework for a chair that fits into all situations and can instantly change its character from modest to exclusive depending on the choice of colour, frame and upholstery. But most importantly, Reflect is a chair that invites rest as well as contemplation and reflection with its sublime comfort.
