With a design informed by the shapes of traditional Japanese garden tools, the Foku lounge chair from 101 Copenhagen co-founders Kristian Sofus Hansen &amp Tommy Hyldahl is a full upholstery lounge chair with simple geometric shapes merged into a sculptural furniture design.

About the design

The word Foku is taken from the word fork in Japanese, and is a reference to the traditional rake tools that have been used in Zen gardens for centuries. Several layers of carefully chosen foam are combined to bring a highly comfortable seating experience, with the resulting piece being one which is highly sculptural and voluminous in shape.
