Description

The 48 Sofa Bench is part of the 48-series designed by Finn Juhl in 1948 and relaunched in 2018. It features Finn Juhl's characteristic and sculptural design language with delicate details.

About the design

This sofa bench showcases rounded surfaces that softly bend according to the body's weight and proportions. The organically shaped seat and backrest, upholstered in fabric or leather, are raised demonstratively free from the supporting frame, creating an optical illusion of the seated person being lifted as if gravity is suspended. The sofa bench is available in a version with an oak frame with armrests and feet in walnut, as well as a version in pure walnut, and can be upholstered in fabric or leather.
