OW149-2 Colonial Sofa - White Oiled Oak

The Carl Hansen & Søn OW149-2 Colonial Sofa brings an aura of refined elegance and lightweight sophistication into your living room, scaling down the classic lounge setup into a beautifully compact two-seater format. Designed by Ole Wanscher in 1964, this architectural masterpiece perfectly balances a slender, minimalist solid wood frame with a stable, highly supportive construction. The skeleton of the sofa features gently curved armrests and slender, tapered legs that create a floating, airy aesthetic, ensuring smaller living spaces or narrow entryways remain visually open and uncluttered. Its incredibly comfortable, double-sided cushions are filled with a supportive down blend and rest upon a resilient, hand-woven cane seat base that provides a traditional, breathable layer of craftsmanship. Available in premium, sustainably sourced oak or walnut and upholstered in your choice of rich, patina-developing leathers or premium textiles, the Colonial Sofa stands as an exceptional mid-century statement piece that delivers a luxurious, inviting retreat to any modern home.
