Müller & Wulff
Berlin-based design duo Müller & Wulff—founded by industrial designers Thomas Müller and Jörg Wulff—is celebrated for an analytical, human-centered approach that pairs structural clarity with understated domestic warmth. Meeting while studying industrial design at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK), the pair established their joint practice in 2001, focusing on how spatial psychology informs everyday seating. The studio gained prominent international acclaim through fruitful partnerships with leading European furniture brands. For Danish design house Bolia, they designed the celebrated Philippa armchair—an ergonomic lounge chair defined by a flowing, contoured backrest and tailored upholstery—alongside modular storage units and versatile occasional tables. Their portfolio balances molded shells, solid timber legs, and tactile textiles engineered for residential and contract longevity.
