Dutch design partners Ben Stevens and Ralph Scheepers—founders of lighting studio Think Paper—are celebrated for transforming sustainable honeycomb cardboard into architectural luminaires. Establishing their practice in 2013, the duo is driven by a passion to view post-consumer materials through a high-design lens. Their defining breakthrough is Think Paper's celebrated collection of cardboard pendants, including the fluid Dandy, Blind, and Classy series. Utilizing precision laser-cutting and artisan hand-assembly, each lamp bonds layered FSC-certified kraft paper using non-toxic adhesives. The resulting honeycomb structure conceals glare, diffusing light through warm, rhythmic apertures that highlight the natural color variations of the material.
