Description
The Drop™ chair draws inspiration from the feeling of an embrace, but it has also been designed for freedom of movement; creating a unique sense of comfort. Designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1958, it was originally created for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen before being relaunched in 2014. It is said to be Jacobsen’s favourite chair among his many designs.
The shell is made of ABS plastic with nylon internal reinforcement. The base has four legs in tubular steel, powder painted in colors corresponding to the body. Drop is contemporary, retro-futurist taste, almost a work of art.
