Takagi & Homstvedt

Design partnership Takagi & Homstvedt—formed by American-Japanese designer Jonah Takagi and Norwegian designer Hallgeir Homstvedt—is celebrated for a collaborative dialogue that synthesizes American practicality, Japanese balance, and Scandinavian woodcraft. Both established independent designers based in Washington, D.C. and Oslo respectively, the duo unites across continents for joint projects. The pair gained international recognition through celebrated collaborations with Scandinavian lighting and furniture brands. For Danish brand Audo Copenhagen (formerly Menu), they created the Lampe de Bureau task light and the playful Chamber Light. For Roll & Hill, they authored sculptural luminaires, while developing collaborative seating and table concepts for Hjelle and L.Ercolani.
