Sebastian Jørgensen
Danish designer and carpenter Sebastian Jørgensen believes that great design should be self-evident. Starting in painting and sculpture before mastering woodworking, Jørgensen approaches furniture through subtraction—stripping away visual noise until only honest utility, pure materiality, and structural logic remain. As a co-founder of Copenhagen-based We Do Wood, Jørgensen has been an early pioneer of circular Scandinavian modernism. Drawing inspiration from mid-century masters like Børge Mogensen, he creates pieces tailored to everyday domestic rituals. Signature works such as the Loop Shelf, Coat Frame, and Nomad Chair celebrate visible joinery, certified woods, and slender metal brackets that make their construction effortless and tactile. Jørgensen proves that sustainable design is not an aesthetic compromise, crafting quiet, durable essentials built to mature gracefully over time.
