French designer Patrick Norguet (b. 1969) is celebrated for bringing emotional restraint, clean contours, and industrial precision to contemporary furniture. Graduating from the École Supérieure de Design Industriel in Paris, Norguet founded his studio in 2000, establishing an understated approach he describes as a search for honesty, comfort, and graphic clarity. Norguet achieved international renown with the iconic Rainbow Chair for Cappellini, constructed from laser-cut acrylic slabs. A prolific collaborator with Italy and Scandinavia's leading manufacturers, he created the Kobi wire chair for Alias, the sculptural Kalm armchair for Artifort, and the minimalist Fox armchair for Pedrali. He has also designed systems for Kristalia, Glas Italia, and Lapalma.
