Copenhagen-based self-taught artist and designer Kim Richardt is celebrated for an uncompromising, architectonic approach centered on linear discipline, geometric tension, and pure structural honesty. Grounded in hands-on building, architectural research, and vintage Scandinavian joinery, Richardt strips away all decorative excess. Richardt gained prominent international acclaim through his celebrated, long-standing partnership with Danish design brand Made by Hand. His defining creation is the Ro collection—comprising the sculptural Ro Chair and dining series—featuring slender powder-coated steel frames paired with traditionally woven natural paper cord. In lighting, he designed the Pétale luminaire, the architectural Knit-Wit lamps (in collaboration with ISKOS-BERLIN), and the skeletal Flying pendant.
