Depping & Jørgensen

Copenhagen-based design partnership Depping & Jørgensen—founded by Line Depping and Jakob Jørgensen—is celebrated for an uncompromising commitment to structural honesty, material behavior, and traditional timber joinery. Both graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (KADK) in 2007, the duo pairs hands-on prototyping with spatial problem-solving. The studio gained prominent international acclaim through their long-standing collaboration with Danish brand HAY. Their defining works include the modular Castor and Depping & Jørgensen Shelving systems, alongside the curved Tool Box storage series. Emphasizing solid ash, cast aluminum joints, and steam-bent wood, their furniture displays how components connect without decorative camouflage.
