Milanese industrial designer Cristian Loddo is recognized for an exploratory, process-driven practice centered on manufacturing methods and material honesty. Graduating in industrial design from the Politecnico di Milano in 2008, Loddo collaborated closely with Memphis Milano co-founder George Sowden before establishing his Milan studio in 2014. Loddo achieved international design prominence through his celebrated collaboration with Danish brand HAY. For HAY, he conceived the Bacheca Shelf—a compact, versatile wall display cabinet engineered from painted sheet steel and sliding fluted glass. His work across lighting and homeware for European brands explores folded metals, magnetic connections, and extruded profiles, prioritizing functional durability and intuitive assembly.
