Toke Lauridsen
Danish designer, architect, and craftsman Toke Lauridsen is recognized for an elemental, no-nonsense aesthetic centered on structural necessity, industrial steel, and honest woodcraft. Grounded in hands-on building and architectural spatial planning, Lauridsen approaches furniture as direct, functional problem-solving. Lauridsen gained global acclaim through his defining collaboration with Danish brand Frama. For Frama, he conceived the iconic Adam Stool (2010)—a benchmark of contemporary Scandinavian functionalism inspired by industrial workshops. Featuring a simple rectangular steel frame, an integrated hand-hole cutout, and a solid oak or leather seat, the stackable stool strips furniture down to pure structural essence. His work also includes the matching Adam Bench and architectural storage solutions.
