Copenhagen-based industrial designer Thomas Bentzen is celebrated for creating functional, unpretentious designs rooted in the Scandinavian tradition of material honesty and rational construction. After graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and working alongside Louise Campbell, Bentzen founded his eponymous studio in 2010 to craft objects that deliver quiet utility and emotional longevity. Bentzen is renowned for iconic collaborations with Muuto and HAY. For HAY, he designed the bestselling DLM (Don’t Leave Me) portable side table, celebrated for its integrated handle and playful versatility. For Muuto, his extensive portfolio includes the Cover chair—which pushes molded veneer to its technical threshold—alongside the crafted Around coffee table, the industrial Enfold sideboard, and the architectural Linear series.
