Jeremy Pyles

American industrial designer and entrepreneur Jeremy Pyles is celebrated for pioneering contemporary blown-glass lighting that pairs industrial precision with organic artisanal character. Originally trained in fine arts, Pyles co-founded New York lighting atelier Niche Modern in 2003 after struggling to find distinctive lighting fixtures for his own interior projects. Pyles is best known for authoring Niche’s defining signature collections, led by the iconic Bella, Stamen, and Oculo pendants. Hand-blown by master glassblowers in Beacon, New York, each piece features flowing, fluid apertures and transparent tinted hues that showcase exposed filament bulbs. His luminaires balance dramatic scale, mid-century geometry, and optical depth, frequently specified across luxury hospitality, architectural, and residential interiors globally.
