Skogstad & Waernes

Norwegian design studio Skogstad & Wærnes—founded by Petter Skogstad and Fredrik Wærnes—is recognized for an authentic, process-driven approach rooted in industrial manufacturing and Scandinavian functionalism. Bringing a combined decade of experience at Anderssen & Voll, the Oslo-based duo established their shared practice in 2020. The studio gained rapid acclaim for their collaborations with leading Nordic brands. For Danish lighting house Audo Copenhagen, they designed the architectural Passage Stool and table collection, crafted in solid FSC-certified oak with rounded edges and flat-pack joinery. For Norwegian outdoor specialist Vestre, they developed durable civic furniture, and have authored expressive homeware for Northern and Menu.
