Italian architect and industrial designer Antonio Citterio (b. 1950) is internationally revered as an architect of modern living systems. Graduating in architecture from the Politecnico di Milano, he established his multidisciplinary practice, ACPV ARCHITECTS, defining a sleek, tailored rationalism that underpins contemporary luxury. A multiple Compasso d'Oro winner, Citterio revolutionized domestic seating for B&B Italia, creating milestone modular sofas such as the Charles, Diesis, and Ray. For Swiss manufacturer Vitra, he engineered essential office and lounge archetypes, including the Grand Repos lounge chair and the ID Chair Concept. His long-standing partnerships also include architectural bathroom fixtures for Axor/Hansgrohe and lighting for Flos.
