Andrea Lazzari

Italian industrial designer Andrea Lazzari (b. 1972) is celebrated for bridging traditional Murano glassblowing mastery with crisp, contemporary lighting engineering. Graduating in industrial design in Venice in 1996, Lazzari established Works Studio in 2002, serving as art director and lead designer for premier Italian lighting brands. Lazzari has authored prolific collections for prestigious Venetian lighting manufacturers, including Vistosi, LIGHT4, Itre, and Aureliano Toso. His designs—such as the modular Phoenix chandelier and the sculptural Cloth collection—exploit the optical properties of hand-blown Murano glass, laser-cut chrome, and architectural fabrics. His luminaires balance technical glare-free LED distribution with expressive, atmospheric textures.
