Pauline Bar Stool
€1.769,00 EUR
The Pauline Bar Stool from Brdr. Krüger takes a highly condensed, reductive approach to elevated seating. Designed by the Copenhagen-based OEO Studio, it was engineered specifically to solve the problem of visual and physical clutter around kitchen islands and commercial bars. Built entirely from solid turned oak—available in raw oiled, fumed, or black lacquered finishes—it bypasses the bulky, splayed legs typical of most bar stools. With a strictly minimal footprint of just 36 centimeters squared, it allows you to line up multiple stools tightly side-by-side without crowding the floor plan or boxing in the room.
Despite its slender, mid-century inspired profile, the stool relies on heavy-duty construction explicitly approved for high-traffic hospitality environments. The wooden frame is structurally reinforced by a solid metal footrest ring, which actively braces the four legs against mechanical stress while providing a rigid, comfortable anchor for your feet. To adapt to different tactile preferences, the seat is available as a smoothly contoured solid wooden disc, or tightly upholstered in commercial-grade textiles or thick aniline leather that will naturally absorb oils and develop a heavy patina over years of use.
Stripped of unnecessary skirting or oversized framing—though a dedicated 'Comfort' version with a sculpted backrest is available—the standard Pauline operates as a quiet, hardworking cylinder. Offered in traditional residential counter heights (65 centimeters) and commercial bar heights (75 centimeters), it relies strictly on material honesty, traditional woodturning, and an uncompromisingly efficient footprint to physically anchor a space without overwhelming it.
