Shane Schneck

American-born, Stockholm-based designer Shane Schneck is celebrated for an inventive design language that distills functional problems into surprising, graphic solutions. Trained in architecture at the University of Miami, Schneck worked extensively with Piero Lissoni in Milan before founding his creative practice, Office for Design, in Stockholm in 2010. Schneck is best known for his prolific partnership with Danish brand HAY. His defining creations include the compact Cap lamp, the geometric Bowler side table, the utilitarian Ru chair, and the beloved Sinker pendant. He also designed the playful Phanta plant hanger and practical silicone tabletop accessories. His work often integrates subtle mechanical tricks and unexpected geometric junctions.
