Wang & Söderström

Based in Copenhagen, transdisciplinary design studio Wang & Söderström operates at the fertile boundary between the digital realm and physical matter. Formed in 2016 by Swedish spatial designer Anny Wang and architect Tim Söderström, the studio challenges conventional aesthetics by investigating how advanced computational tools, 3D printing, and tactile craft intersect to evoke living, biological forms. Their work first gained global prominence through their visionary home accessories for Danish brand HAY. The Wang & Söderström Collection features sculptural vases, candleholders, and bookends designed digitally before being 3D-printed and cast in tactile stoneware and porcelain. The resulting pieces—marked by cellular textures, undulating convolutions, and unexpected color gradients—feel like surreal, alien artifacts from an imagined future ecosystem.
