The Restaurant Silo Copenhagen, situated on the seventeenth floor of a striking transformed grain silo in the Nordhavn district, is a world-class example of adaptive reuse architecture designed by the Danish studio Cobe. The interior architecture embraces the raw industrial history of the 1960s reinforced concrete tower while establishing a sophisticated, high-contrast environment. To complement the massive inflow of natural light pouring through the floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows, the walls and window frames are kept entirely black. The flooring consists of premium Dinesen oak planks stained in a dark, moody tone that enhances the warm, intimate evening ambiance. The restaurant is divided into three distinct sections comprising a comfortable lounge, a fine dining hall, and a casual kitchen table setup. As a tribute to the building's gritty dockside heritage, a small-scale replica of the famous Hvad Drikker Møllr black graffiti tag that once crowned the exterior is painted across the wall from the main bar. The furniture selection serves as a contemporary gallery of modern Scandinavian craft curated through a partnership with the design brand AndTradition. Guests are seated on iconic Loafer chairs designed by Space Copenhagen alongside the clean, elegant lines of Sami Kallio’s In Between dining chairs. The elevated bar counter and high-top social zones are punctuated by Jaime Hayon’s playful, organically curved Catch bar stools. This texturally layered composition seamlessly balances the building's rough, unpolished concrete shell with smooth textiles, refined woodwork, and geometric steel fixtures
