Portuguese designer Rui Pereira and Japanese designer Ryosuke Fukusada form an acclaimed international creative partnership that bridges Iberian craft traditions and Japanese functional minimalism. Meeting in Milan while working at Studio Patricia Urquiola, the pair joined forces to explore cultural narratives through everyday objects. The duo achieved prominent recognition through collaborations with Danish design house HAY. Their defining creation is the Chim Chim scent diffuser—a playful porcelain vessel shaped like a miniature domestic chimney—alongside the Kite mirror and the stackable An open space accessories. Their work frequently incorporates sustainable natural cork, glazed ceramics, and bent plywood.
