Rotterdam-based design practice Studio WM—founded in 2010 by Wendy Legro and Maarten Collignon—is celebrated for an atmospheric, sensory-rich aesthetic that explores the subtle interplay of light, shadow, and tactile surfaces. Both graduating from the Design Academy Eindhoven, the duo bridges artistic experimentation with industrial product development. Studio WM gained international design prominence through collaborations with Scandinavian brands. For Audo Copenhagen (formerly Menu), they created the celebrated WM String Chair, a lightweight wire lounge chair pairing airy graphic geometry with ergonomic curves, alongside the scent-diffusing Scent Orb. For WOUD, they developed acoustic and lighting objects that manipulate reflections and soft ambiance.
