The Københavns Møbelsnedkeri In-House Design Team—working directly from the brand’s workshop in Copenhagen—serves as the creative core shaping KBH’s distinctive blend of classic cabinetmaking and moody modern luxury. Working shoulder-to-shoulder with master joiners, this collective of architects, furniture designers, and craftsmen conceives objects directly through the physical reality of wood, brass, and stone. Rather than relying on sterile digital drafts, the team develops pieces iteratively at the workbench. They are responsible for defining KBH's recognizable design vocabulary, authoring signature pieces such as the sculptural KBH Chair, the New Classic Showcase with burnished brass fittings, and modular wall-hung display systems. Their work balances raw timber textures—particularly smoked oak, fumed ash, and bespoke linoleum—with hidden mechanical joins, leather detailing, and patinated metals.
