Enrico Franzolini
Italian architect and designer Enrico Franzolini (b. 1952) is celebrated for bringing architectural rigor, structural transparency, and sculptural dynamism to contemporary furniture. Earning degrees in architecture from universities in Florence and Venice, Franzolini honed his voice in fine art before founding his Udine studio in 1981. Franzolini is globally renowned for prolific collaborations with Italy's premier design houses. For lighting maker Pallucco, he created the monumental Gilda floor lamp, adapting photographer tripod hardware into dramatic domestic illumination. For Moroso, he authored the woven Big Mama sofa and Glow seating, while developing minimalist wooden and metallic contract collections for Gervasoni, Accento, and Foscarini.
