Chris Martin

British industrial designer Chris Martin is internationally recognized for his rational, production-focused approach to contemporary furniture. After studying furniture design at the Royal College of Art and working as a senior designer for IKEA, Martin co-founded the Swedish design brand Massproductions in 2009 with Magnus Elebäck, championing smart industrial manufacturing over fleeting trends. Serving as Head of Design at Massproductions, Martin conceived iconic collections that highlight manufacturing mastery. His defining breakthrough, the Tio Chair, utilizes automated CNC wire bending to yield a transparent yet remarkably sturdy silhouette. His acclaimed portfolio also includes the stackable Mega sofa series, the curvaceous Crown Chair, the solid-wood I lights and Dandy sofa, and the geometric Bramble system.
