Andreas Engesvik and Daniel Rybakken

Norwegian designers Andreas Engesvik and Daniel Rybakken form an acclaimed creative partnership uniting furniture craftsmanship with poetic lighting and spatial research. Based in Oslo, each maintains a prominent solo career while collaborating on milestone industrial projects. The duo achieved international prominence through their collaboration with Danish house HAY. Their joint masterpiece is the Arbour sofa and armchair collection—the first sofa to earn the official Nordic Swan Ecolabel. Defined by an architectural, exposed solid-wood frame and plush separate cushions, the design allows for easy disassembly, repair, and circular longevity. They also conceived the adjustable Colour light for Ligne Roset.
