German designer Sebastian Herkner is celebrated globally for an approach that unites traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology. After studying product design at HfG Offenbach and interning with Stella McCartney in London, Herkner founded his studio in Offenbach am Main in 2006, driven by an enduring passion for authentic materiality, tactile contrast, and cultural storytelling. Herkner gained international acclaim with his iconic Bell Table for ClassiCon, which boldly inverted conventional perceptions by using a hand-blown tinted glass vessel as a base to support a heavy solid brass top. His diverse portfolio includes the industrial-romantic Oda floor lamp for Pulpo, the tactile Mbrace outdoor collection for Dedon, and designs for Thonet, Ligne Roset, and &Tradition.
