Description

The PH Artichoke Pendant Lamp is a world-renowned lighting icon designed by Poul Henningsen in 1958, originally commissioned for the Langelinie Pavilion restaurant in Copenhagen where it still hangs today. This sculptural masterpiece is engineered with 72 precision-placed leaves—available in copper, stainless steel, brass, or white—arranged in 12 circular rows that completely shield the light source to ensure a 100% glare-free experience from any viewing angle. Each leaf is hand-mounted to a chrome-plated steel frame, reflecting light inward and outward to create a unique, decorative glow that enhances any architectural space. Produced exclusively by Louis Poulsen in Denmark, the fixture comes in four distinct diameters—480 mm, 600 mm, 720 mm, and 840 mm—and is offered with both traditional sockets and modern, high-performance LED modules. Combining mid-century Danish craftsmanship with sophisticated optical science, the PH Artichoke serves as both a high-end functional luminaire and a valuable investment piece for residential or commercial interiors.
