3107 Series 7 Chair - Warm Graphite Base

The 3107 Series 7 Chair by Fritz Hansen, originally conceptualized in 1955 by the legendary Danish architect Arne Jacobsen, stands as the most commercially successful and widely recognized masterpiece in modern furniture history. Driven by Jacobsen's evolution of his previous three-legged Ant chair, this four-legged icon is celebrated for its radical, organic hourglass silhouette which is masterfully sculpted from a single piece of three-dimensionally steam-bent plywood. The highly sophisticated manufacturing process bonds nine layers of pressure-moulded veneer—comprising seven inner layers of resilient beech wood layered with an integrated sheet of Indian cotton for exceptional micro-flexibility and structural strength—ensuring the thin profile can flex gracefully under body pressure without cracking. This lightweight, 4 kg contract-grade side chair rests on a slender yet incredibly strong 14 mm tubular steel base that extends just beyond the edge of the seat shell, allowing the chairs to be easily arranged in clean rows or stacked efficiently for compact storage in residential dining rooms, home offices, and corporate conference halls. Measuring 82 cm in total height, 50 cm in width, and 52 cm in depth, the versatile model 3107 is available in three distinct seat heights—43 cm, 46 cm, or 48 cm—and is supported by removable synthetic ferrules to protect flooring surfaces. It can be specified in an endless array of finishes including natural wood veneers like oak or walnut, grain-revealing Coloured Ash, vibrant high-gloss Lacquer, or luxurious front and full upholstery variants in premium Kvadrat textiles and exclusive Fritz Hansen leathers.
