Pascal Mourgue
French sculptor and industrial designer Pascal Mourgue (1943–2014) was celebrated for bridging fine art sculpture and industrial design with romance, emotional warmth, and structural lightness. Graduating from the École Boulle and the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Mourgue operated with a free, artisanal spirit. Mourgue is globally revered for his enduring partnership with French outdoor manufacturer Fermob, authoring the romantic Dune outdoor collection with its flexible, body-contouring outdoor technical fabric (OTF). For Ligne Roset, he created international icons including the minimalist Calin seating family, modeled after folded pillows, and the sculptural Smala sofa.
