Barcelona-based design triumvirate Lievore Altherr Molina—founded in 1991 by Alberto Lievore (b. 1948), Jeannette Altherr (b. 1965), and Manel Molina (b. 1963)—was one of the most prolific and influential design collectives in contemporary European design, awarded Spain's National Design Award in 1999. The studio achieved legendary international design status through its defining, long-term partnership with Italian furniture house Arper. Together, they created the iconic Catifa chair family (2001)—a global benchmark for bi-curved, injection-molded contract and residential seating—alongside the Leaf outdoor series, the Parentesit acoustic wall panels, and the Loop modular sofa. They also designed masterworks for Andreu World, Vibia, Foscarini, and Poltrona Frau.
