Joel Hoff
British designer Joel Hoff is recognized for an understated, material-focused practice centered on intuitive human interaction, sustainable longevity, and technical economy. Graduating with a Master's in Design Products from the Royal College of Art in London in 2014, Hoff was awarded the prestigious Design Parade award at Villa Noailles for his inventive graduation projects. Hoff gained immediate global design recognition through his debut collaboration with Danish brand HAY. His defining creation is the Cloche Table Lamp—a directional luminaire featuring an offset die-cast aluminum arm, a flared conical shade, and a weighted cast-iron base. Driven by the philosophy of designing objects that are intuitive to operate and repair, his portfolio spans functional lighting, tabletop tools, and quiet furniture accessories.
