The Clarion Hotel Post, revitalized by architecture firm Semrén & Månsson, is a contemporary luxury retreat housed in a grandiose 1925 neoclassical structure that formerly served as Gothenburg's central post office. The interior narrative themed Historic Heritage and Contemporary Edge explores the tension between civic grandeur and modern vibrancy by blending classic architectural proportions with eclectic Nordic design.

The hotel features five hundred and thirty-nine rooms split into dynamic architectural layouts that span both the historic heritage building and the striking modern copper addition. Standard Rooms draw inspiration from sleek Scandinavian modernism with bespoke hardened wood floors utilizing the soaring windows of the original footprint alongside dark acoustic paneling. The Rooftop Suites celebrate spatial grandeur through expansive open-plan living areas along with private terraces and panoramic city views.

Public spaces are designed as a layered showcase of civic history with the reception featuring a striking contemporary art installation made from the crushed panels of an old Swedish postal van as a nod to the building's utilitarian past. Specialized social zones include the magnificent Norda restaurant for lively culinary gatherings and the glamorous Bon Bon Bar which is a seductive urban nook filled with ambient lighting and curved velvet seating.

The furniture is a mix of carefully restored architectural elements and bespoke contemporary pieces with most room cabinetry and plush upholstery custom-designed specifically for this site. A notable collaboration with Spik Studios features decadent lounge environments produced in vibrant jewel tones exclusive to this property while bespoke wide-plank wood flooring was developed with Bjelin for the guestrooms.
