Danish furniture designer Arne Wahl Iversen (1927–2016) was an accomplished master of mid-century Scandinavian modernism. Trained as a cabinetmaker before studying furniture design at the School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen, he opened his own independent studio in Nyborg in 1952. Iversen gained international acclaim through prolific collaborations with prominent Danish manufacturers. For Vinde Møbelfabrik, he authored highly coveted teak and rosewood writing desks and secretaires, including the celebrated Model 65 desk and Model 67 lectern desk. For Komfort, he designed refined teak-framed lounge seating and convertible daybeds. His work is distinguished by tapered legs, brass fittings, and elegant tambour details.
