TAF Studio
Founded in Stockholm in 2002 by Gabriella Gustafson and Mattias Ståhlbom, TAF Studio approaches contemporary design with a playful yet analytical eye. Their guiding aim is to make ordinary life less ordinary—interrogating familiar everyday archetypes and reimagining them through clever construction, unexpected proportions, and refined material choices. Working across furniture, lighting, and interior architecture, the duo strips designs down to their essential elements while introducing a subtle twist. As longtime collaborators with Muuto, they have authored modern Scandinavian staples: the spun-aluminium Ambit lamp series, the acorn-inspired mouth-blown Rime pendant, and the architectural 70/70 Table. Their output also includes striking commissions for brands like Artek and the Swedish Nationalmuseum. By pairing rational Swedish functionalism with understated wit, TAF Studio creates honest, enduring objects that integrate effortlessly into modern life.
