The Madklubben Home of Carlsberg restaurant housed in the iconic 1847 Carlsberg Brewery atop Valby Hill seamlessly blends raw industrial elements with a refined modern aesthetic. The interior design narrative pays distinct homage to the venue's brewing origins, featuring preserved bordeaux-colored wooden beer box motifs and striking copper brewing tanks that double as historical landmarks and decorative elements. Located right above the active Jacobsen Brewery, the expansive dining layout maintains an intimate atmosphere achieved through the delicate play of soft natural light and a premium curation of classic Danish heritage furniture. The restaurant serves as an extensive showcase for Fredericia Furniture pieces, anchoring the spaces in timeless mid-century functionality. Guests gather in the central dining zones around elegant solid oak C18 Shaker tables surrounded by iconic J39 chairs finished in a variety of custom colors, classic Mogensen benches, and sleek Søborg chairs. This rich traditional woodwork is juxtaposed with modern innovation through the inclusion of minimalist Plan barstools and Plan chairs designed by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby. Seamlessly branching off the main dining hub, a cozy lounge invitation welcomes guests into a residential-inspired retreat layered with soft upholstery. The lounge is defined by the flowing, organic lines of sofas and armchairs from Hugo Passos’ Gomo Collection, working in harmony alongside Jasper Morrison's minimalist Pon tables.
