The Kasthall Design Studio—operating directly from the brand’s historic mill in Kinna, Sweden—serves as the creative core of Kasthall, a world-renowned rug and floorwear atelier founded in 1889. The in-house team of textile designers and master weavers balances archival Swedish weaving techniques with contemporary yarn innovations. Collaborating with leading architects, the studio is responsible for developing bespoke tufted and woven rugs crafted exclusively from pure New Zealand wool and natural linen. Iconic creations include the timeless Moss and Gäddan shaggy rugs, the woven Arkad grid collection, and the classic Flinga series. Their work is celebrated for exquisite hand-finishing, rich acoustic performance, and natural yarn dyeing that patinates gracefully over time.
