Danish designer Jonas Trampedach (b. 1974) is celebrated for an inventive, engineering-minded approach that strips objects down to their essential structural principles. Graduating with a Master’s in Design Products from London's Royal College of Art in 2009, Trampedach established his Copenhagen studio, focusing on functional furniture and kinetic lighting. Trampedach achieved international prominence through acclaimed collaborations with Danish house HAY. His defining creations include the Kofi Table series—conceived alongside Pierre Charpin—which pairs a solid-wood frame with an inset flat-glass top, and the mechanical Rope Trick floor lamp, which uses a flexible woven textile sleeve to adjust and direct LED light along an internal track. He also designs minimalist contract furniture for Karakter.
